Opportunities To Support IWCA During The Holiday Season And Beyond

From climate change to supply chain delays, the coffee industry is currently facing a number of challenges, and women typically end up bearing a disproportionate amount of the burden from them. In the fall we surveyed IWCA chapters to gain a deeper understanding of the tools they need to navigate these issues, and the resounding feedback was the urgent need for capacity building in the following areas: access to markets and financing, ongoing training on the Voluntary Sustainability Standards (VSS) programs in coffee, financial literacy, and cupping coffee.

Financial support from individuals and organizations will be critical to help us develop and execute programs that will address the unique needs of each chapter. If you would like to invest in empowering change for women in these coffee communities we hope you consider making a year-end gift to IWCA. Every donation will support the creation of programs and tools that will help women in the international coffee supply chain achieve sustainable livelihoods.
