Invest to Empower Women: Invest in IWCA
The International Women's Coffee Alliance (IWCA) represents a globally connected network of chapters working in roles throughout the supply chain and united by our mission to empower women in the international coffee community to achieve meaningful and sustainable lives. IWCA acts as the hub to connect our chapter members and facilitate funding and programs that offer opportunities for leadership development, strategic partnerships, and amplified market visibility.
Your investment in IWCA makes it possible for us to accomplish work that leads to significant impacts in local coffee communities around the world. Our 2023 Annual Report offers specific examples of how an investment in IWCA promotes empowerment and leadership development throughout our global chapter network. A wide network of support is essential to ensure we can continue to deliver programs in service to our mission and chapter members and any gift amount is greatly appreciated. Strengthen Global Coffee Communities:
Fund IWCA's Expansion
Navigating a global organization with 34 chapters presents challenges in communication and logistics, highlighting the need for consistent coordination. Executive Director Blanca Maria Castro, an advocate from Guatemala, emphasizes the importance of strong infrastructure for growth and sustainability: "We are focused on building this cornerstone infrastructure that fortifies every endeavor, enabling us to reach farther, serve better, and impact deeper."
IWCA aims to raise funds to hire two additional Regional Chapter Coordinators for Asia & Oceania and Consuming Countries. In 2023, IWCA hired the first two of four needed Coordinators: Teopista Nakkunga for Africa & the Middle East and Orieta Pinto for Latin America & the Caribbean.
These roles are crucial for maintaining unity, ensuring seamless communication, and supporting collaboration among the chapters. Investing in these positions will strengthen IWCA's global network, enhance collaboration, and maximize impact throughout the coffee value chain. Your support will empower women in coffee-growing communities and promote a more equitable and sustainable future.
