Recap: IWCA South Korea Chapter at the IWCA International Summit – Seoul Cafe Show 2024
The IWCA International Summit at the Seoul Cafe Show 2024 was an unforgettable gathering of passionate coffee professionals, industry leaders, and IWCA chapter members from around the world. Hosted by the IWCA South Korea Chapter, the event provided a platform to connect, share insights, and celebrate the diverse and impactful role of women in coffee.
Throughout the afternoon, attendees participated in inspiring guest presentations, including a talk from Sohee Eom, CEO of Kijami Table, on the EUDR landscape and its impact on African coffee producers, as well as an insightful session by Pacita Juan, IWCA Global Board Member, on IWCA’s global structure and strategic plans. These discussions provided valuable perspectives on the evolving coffee industry and the opportunities for collaboration and advocacy.
One of the highlights of the summit was the IWCA Cupping Session, featuring an impressive lineup of coffees from Brazil, Ethiopia, Burundi, Honduras, and Kenya. This session allowed attendees to explore and appreciate a wide range of flavors and origins while fostering meaningful connections among producers, buyers, and coffee enthusiasts.
