Empowering Women in Coffee: How Amy’s Blend Supports IWCA Chapters Worldwide

At the International Women’s Coffee Alliance, we believe that when women are empowered, entire communities thrive. That’s why we’re honored to partner once again with Caribou Coffee for Amy’s Blend 2025, a meaningful initiative that celebrates the legacy of Caribou’s original roastmaster, Amy Erickson, while directly supporting women in coffee-growing communities.

Honoring a Legacy, Creating a Future

Amy Erickson was a pioneer in the coffee industry, setting quality standards that still define Caribou Coffee today. In her honor, Caribou created Amy’s Blend, a beautifully balanced light and dark roast sourced from Guatemala, Costa Rica, Ethiopia, and Kenya—the same origins where proceeds from this initiative will be reinvested to uplift women in coffee.

From March 6 – June 4, 2025, for every bag of Amy’s Blend sold, Caribou Coffee will donate $1 to IWCA, up to a total of $50,000. These funds will be directed to IWCA Chapters in the sourcing countries, empowering local women coffee producers through training, market access, sustainability initiatives, and leadership development.

A Partnership That Creates Real Impact

Through this collaboration, Caribou Coffee and IWCA are helping women coffee farmers gain access to essential resources, training, and business opportunities. The funds from last year’s Amy’s Blend initiative helped IWCA Guatemala provide hands-on training in sustainable agriculture, grafting techniques, and nursery management—ensuring long-term sustainability for women-led farms.

This is more than coffee; it’s a movement. By purchasing Amy’s Blend, you are investing in the resilience, knowledge, and leadership of women in coffee.
