COMMITTEES

The IWCA is a non-profit association that relies on its members for support in reaching their goals. Through volunteering, members join together striving to help better the world for women in coffee.The IWCA Committee structure is evolving in an effort to align committees and their work with the IWCA’s focus areas of: Advocacy, Resources and Connections.

Events Committee

Responsible for planning and managing IWCA events, including our annual Women in Coffee Breakfast and other events. Email events@womenincoffee.org for more information.

Marketing, Membership and Communications Committee

Responsible for facilitating and monitoring communications and marketing materials on behalf of the IWCA, including press releases, newsletters, promotional material content, and web site content. The marketing and communications committee develops marketing strategies and designs collateral pieces to support marketing strategies. Email marketing@womenincoffee.org for more information.

Membership Committee

Responsible for IWCA membership development and enhancement. The membership committee also maintains our membership database and coordinates yearly annual membership renewals. Email membership@womenincoffee.org for more information.

Fundraising Committee

Responsible for developing the strategy and action plans to support various fundraising activities. Fundraising activities include: developing and implementing sponsorship programs to support specific events (e.g. the IWCA annual breakfast); sponsoring relationship management; researching sources for funding activities consistent with the IWCA mission; working closely with the IWCA Executive Board to evaluate potential funding sources and determining which ones to pursue; developing materials necessary to apply for funding; and providing necessary oversight and governance to ensure that all funds are spent properly. (Note: the Scavenger Hunt Committee is an ad-hoc sub-committee of this group.) Email sponsorship@womenincoffee.org for more information.
